Cybersecurity on Rise While Security Budgets Fall

    According to a recent article, a PricewaterhouseCoopers’ (PwC) worldwide survey of nearly 10,000 executives and IT directors revealed that global corporate security budgets have fallen even though cybersecurity breaches are rising dramatically. The article provides statistics from the PwC survey report about the number and magnitude of these breaches.

    The report blames boards of directors for ignoring these threats. “Effective security awareness requires top-down commitment and communication,” the report said. The article goes on to suggest how this problem might be addressed.
