Register Now for "Balancing BYOD: Exploring The Sedona Conference® Commentary on BYOD Policies and Related Discovery"

Many organizations permit, encourage, or even require employees to use their personal devices to access and manage work-related information. This practice, called Bring Your Own Device or BYOD, is often part of an organization-wide BYOD program supported by technology, policies, and practices.

To help organizations develop BYOD policies and practices and manage BYOD in discovery, The Sedona Conference® and its Working Group on Electronic Document Retention & Production recently published The Sedona Conference Commentary on BYOD: Principles and Guidance for Developing Policies and Meeting Discovery Obligations.

Participants in this web seminar will learn key principles and guidance presented in the Commentary, including how to:

  • Balance business objectives, legal obligations, and employee rights when implementing BYOD
  • Achieve business goals with BYOD while still protecting information from unauthorized access, disclosure, and use
  • Identify and navigate discovery implications of BYOD devices
  • Configure BYOD technology, policy, and practices to mitigate discovery burdens

The session airs live on July 18 at 1 p.m. Central time (2 p.m. Eastern). It is free to professional members of ARMA International and is $35 to all other attendees.

Session speakers are Lauren Schwartzreich of Littler Mendelson; Ross Gotler of Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison LLP; and Emily Fedeles of Baker Hostetler.
