Update From Board President and CEO – May 14, 2020
Thursday, May 14, 2020
As we all continue adjusting to the challenges of COVID-19, we commend the IM and IG community for its resilience and professionalism. More than ever, information management is essential to our organizations and profession. Last week, ARMA joined six international organizations in issuing just such a statement.
The Board has been focused on being responsive to your needs—members, chapters, and business partners. We are also modelling both the short and long-term impact of COVID-19 on our community, our organizations, and business in general.
The board and HQ leadership team continue to move forward with alternative scenario planning — including virtual options. This week, we asked the ARMA community and our business partners to complete a three-minute “pulse-check” survey, which will help us in our conference planning. Additionally, the low registration rates have been extended through May, and the board has approved a no-risk registration policy as well.
In June, the board will decide how to proceed with InfoCon 2020.
In addition, we've extended our RIM Month discounts through May 31, to support your educational and certification CEU needs.
Due to testing center closings in many locations, the IGP board has extended the test window for all pending IGP candidates through September 30, 2020.
Finally, for ARMA members affected by job transitions, we have approved a dues waiver/renewal extension—to ensure you stay connected to ARMA resources and our community. Our job board currently has more than a 100 listings.
Together, we will get through these challenges by remaining nimble, resilient, and innovative. ARMA is here to help. Please contact either of us, or any board member, with questions.
