ARMA International recognized Farmers Insurance® with its coveted Award of Excellence. The award was highlighted at ARMA’s annual conference, ARMA Live! 2017, held October 15-17 in Orlando, Fla.
This annual award recognizes the outstanding achievements made by an organization in its pursuit of implementing or improving a records and information management or an information governance program as laid out by ARMA’s Generally Accepted Recordkeeping Principles® (the Principles) and the Maturity Model.
The award is determined by a company’s total points achieved for each of the Principles:
“At a time when data – and access to data – is exploding, now more than ever a strong records management/information governance program is needed to help protect consumers and their information,” says Jocelyn Gunter, CEO of ARMA International. “ARMA congratulates our industry member, Farmers Insurance, for achieving this recognition."
Rafael Moscatel, director of information governance for Farmers, says, "I'm very proud of Farmers for developing an award-winning information governance program and investing in research and policy development based on a holistic approach to managing data. We're thrilled that ARMA has recognized these efforts."
