ARMA International / CA Information Management Survey 2008
This survey was conducted with the ARMA International membership and select CA clients in an effort to learn more about general attitudes and understanding of discovery and retention of information. Some of the significant findings from this research include:
- Half of survey respondents see a difference between the process of eDiscovery and Discovery
- 75% of respondents do not have a system that manages their content over the enterprise; only 16% of companies with 1,000+ employees have an ECM System and 26% of the same companies use a manual system.
- 62% of respondents do not have an e-mail archiving

The survey research, which is the foundation of the papers, assessed certain key components associated with the successful life cycle management of records and the degree to which critically important records management practices are being applied to electronic records.
