U.S. Department of Labor Invitation to IGPs

    Jan 11, 2017
ARMA International has been asked to assist with an important initiative called O*NET (Occupational Information Network-, a project for the U.S. Department of Labor and America's primary source of occupational information. O*NET is updating the Document Management Specialists occupation.

We have been asked to identify members with credentialed expertise in this area in order to provide feedback on how the work is performed, knowledge required, and the typical work settings. Since you are an IGP, we would like to forward your name and contact information, along with that of other experts from our organization, to the O*NET researchers at RTI International (Research Triangle Institute).

They in turn will invite a random sample to provide input, via questionnaires (total time involved 90 minutes), to keep information about these classifications accurate and up-to-date in the O*NET Database. Should you be selected to participate, a Certificate of Appreciation from the U.S. Department of Labor and $40 in cash will be included with the questionnaires as a token of thanks.

If you are contacted by the O*NET liaisons, we hope you consider assisting with this important update. It will be of great benefit to the millions of students, job seekers, veterans and employers who use the free O*NET Database each year as a resource for career exploration and job analysis.

If you would like to be excluded from the list we send to the O*NET researchers, please email Diane Carlisle before January 27.
