ARMA International CEO, Marilyn Bier to Resign
May 15, 2014
Marilyn Bier, CAE, has elected to resign as CEO of ARMA International. Ms. Bier has served as the chief staff officer for 8 of her 14 years with the association where she began in the education department. During her tenure, ARMA International has solidified its position as the leader in Information Governance by developing a robust education and standards program, creating the Generally Accepted Record Keeping Principles® and Information Governance Maturity Model, and developing the Information Governance Professional Certification (IGP).
“On behalf of ARMA’s Board of Directors, I want to wish Marilyn nothing but the best in her future endeavors and to thank her for her loyal service to the association, its members and the RIM and IG communities”, said Julie J. Colgan, President of ARMA International.
ARMA will be conducting a national search to identify its next CEO. In the interim, Michael Avery will continue to manage all staff and operations in his role as ARMA’s COO with direction and oversight from the Board.
