Introduction to the Generally Accepted Recordkeeping Principles®:

This introduction course focuses on the importance of each principle and how you can integrate each into your RIM program. The course also provides you vital facts that you can take back to executive-level managers, who may be unfamiliar with the benefits of RIM, but need to be familiar with The Principles and the benefits to your organization – as well as the perils of ignoring them. You will learn why the principles are a standard of excellence for records systems and why your organization should regard compliance with them as a holistic organizational imperative – and a mandate for better information governance.

Applying The Principles to Achieve Organizational Excellence:

This course provides first-hand, real-world guidance from a consultant experienced in using the Generally Accepted Recordkeeping Principles® and the Information Governance Maturity Model to identify RIM risks, gaps, and desired outcomes. It demonstrates how compliance with The Principles can help safeguard organizations from the kinds of regulatory and ethical dilemmas that can ultimately shut an organization’s doors.

The Principles and Legally Defensible Information Governance:

In this course, you’ll see how The Principles complement the Electronic Discovery Reference Model (EDRM): the course demonstrates how information management is not just a step in e-discovery but is instead an ongoing process that’s managed by best practices. The course takes you through each principle and uses case law to illustrate how conformity to them could have protected organizations from sanctions and admonishment. It also introduces the Information Governance Maturity Model, a first-generation measuring tool that will help you evaluate compliance.
