Through ARMA International’s awareness efforts, we focus some of our energy reaching out to legal professionals. Many of our members are lawyers, litigation support professionals, and legal records managers. And, other individuals consider themselves to be in the legal realm based on their reporting structure within their organization.

I’ve mentioned in previous messages about our advertising outreach to the legal profession and discussed how we help shape their understanding of the importance of information governance within today’s business parameters. Our campaign continues – and we’ve seen great success.

I’m also proud to announce our latest collaborative endeavor involving the Electronic Discovery Reference Model (learn more at EDRM.net). Together, we’ve developed a whitepaper to connect the principles of the EDRM’s Information Governance Reference Model and ARMA International’s Generally Accepted Recordkeeping Principles®. It’s available to you as a free download at arma.org/garp.

Coincidentally, that whitepaper will be available at our booth January 30-February 1 during the 2012 LegalTech conference in New York.
