Membership Campaign – 2008
Welcome to the second annual ARMA International membership drive! The goal of the campaign is to increase membership and help your chapter recruit new members. As an incentive, we will be awarding $1,000 to one chapter in each of four categories for the total number of new members between April 1, 2008 and July 1, 2008 (Categories: Small Chapter is 1-35 members; Medium 36-80; Large 81-150; Very Large 151 or more members).
Last Year:
More than 3,000 names were submitted by more than 50 chapters. Overall, chapters netted 584 new members during the contest period! We will be doing more in the way of recruitment and retention incentives for chapters, so watch your Chapter Connections for details. Congratulations to our winners:
- Small Chapter: Tidewater
- Medium Chapter: Connecticut
- Large Chapter: Austin, Golden Gate, San Antonio, San Diego (4-way tie!)
- Very Large Chapter: Toronto
We need your help:
We would like for you to submit a maximum of 250 of your best membership prospects by March 7 to me by e-mail. A prospect could be a nonmember who attended a meeting in the past, has expressed interest in ARMA and your chapter, or perhaps a former member who discontinued within the past few years. Or maybe you know of someone who would just simply benefit from membership.
The campaign will consist of three direct mailings to the prospect list. ARMA International will pay for and execute the mailing campaign. We may also supplement the list that you provide with our own database of prospects, based on total quantity received from all chapters. The direct mail campaign will consist of:
Second week of April 2008
- Postcard: Initial introduction to ARMA International and membership.
Fourth week of April 2008
- Postcard: More in depth information about ARMA and the benefits of being a member.
Second week of May 2008
- Letter: a more targeted letter detailing what membership can do for them professionally, information about our Chapter structure, and more.
As part of the campaign, ARMA International will be providing resources to the chapters that can be found on this site, including tips on creating your prospect list and how to leverage the membership campaign using your own recruiting efforts and programming.
Please only submit one list of prospects to us from your Chapter. Watch your e-mail for more information and details about our recruitment campaign! We are excited to see how our combined efforts can continue to increase membership and benefit your chapter.
Good luck!
