Beth Chiaiese, CRM, MLIS
National Director of Loss Prevention, Foley & Lardner
Beth Chiaiese has been Foley & Lardner LLP's National Director of Loss Prevention since 2001. During her 30-year career, Chiaiese has worked as both a practitioner and as a consultant helping firms develop work processes and technology based on best practices in the areas of records management, conflicts of interest, new business processing, and risk management.

Chiaiese is a frequent speaker, addressing national conferences, such as the International Legal Technology Association (ILTA), ARMA International, the Association of Legal Administrators (ALA), the American Bar Association (ABA), and the Attorneys' Liability Assurance Society (ALAS). She has also published articles and white papers for the National Law Journal, LawNet, and various ARMA International publications. Chiaiese is a co-author of Records Management in the Legal Environment, published by ARMA International in 2003, which extensively discussed the processes, technologies, and ethical concerns faced by law firm records and conflicts managers and administrators. Chiaiese is a former member of the Board of Directors for ARMA International, a Certified Records Manager (CRM), and holds a Master's Degree in Library and Information Sciences.

Scott Christensen
Manager of Information Systems, Wildman, Harrold, Allen & Dixon LLP
Christensen holds MS and BA degrees in Information Systems and Computer Science from Roosevelt University and Concordia College respectively. Christensen previously served ILTA as the regional vice president for the Midwest Region for five years, and is presently serving as president of ILTA's Board of Directors. He has led or served on a number of ILTA task forces including the Nomination Committee, Dues Task Force, and the Membership Satisfaction Survey Task Force.

David Cunningham

Cunningham leads Baker Robbins’ Strategic Technology practice. For 18 years, he has helped law firm leaders with assessments and plans focused on cost, risk, and lawyer effectiveness. He created the Law Firm Technology Scorecard to provide a fair and in-depth approach to benchmarking IT and the Law Firm Risk Register for a more comprehensive approach to risk management. Anthony Davis

Anthony Davis is best described as a lawyer's lawyer. Davis is a member of the Lawyers for the Profession® practice group and his practice focuses on the laws that govern lawyers. He advises attorneys and law firms on legal professional and ethics issues, law firm creation, merger and dissolution, and issues relating to risk management and loss control.

Dolinsky is a director at eSentio Technologies with over 25 years of experience in providing technology consulting and management to law firms. Stacey Fiorillo, Esq.

Fiorillo is a manager within Baker Robbins & Company's Information Life Cycle Management Solution line, where she focuses on records management, conflicts, and new business intake processes. Prior to joining Baker Robbins & Company, she spent eight years directing the records management and conflict of interest departments for two large law firms. Fiorillo also worked as a project manager for a premier technology company specializing in legal software solutions for records and conflicts. Prior to her career in records management, Fiorillo practiced law for more than six years in Pennsylvania and New Jersey. She was a lawyer in the Philadelphia Law Department and also a litigator in the private sector. Fiorillo earned her JD from Temple University in Philadelphia, PA. She is a member of ARMA International, the association for information management professionals.

Bryan Foster
Director of Business Development, Litigation Document Solutions, Pitney Bowes Management Services
Foster serves as Pitney Bowes' subject matter expert in the realm of electronic discovery and litigation document outsourcing. Foster's experience has been honed over a 15-year career, during which time he has consulted for many Fortune 100 and AMLAW 200 clients involved in large class action, multi-district litigations. He understands not only the technology behind electronic discovery, but also the people and processes needed to ensure developing a defensible strategy. Before joining Pitney Bowes, Foster was the founder of a startup electronic discovery company, which he grew to 20 locations and two data centers providing various services across the Electronic Discovery Reference Model coast to coast.

Adam Hansen
Manager of Information Security, Sonnenschein Nath & Rosenthal LLP
Hansen is responsible for all information security, including setting policy, risk management, product selection and implementation, investigation, and crisis management. Hansen is also the president/founder of the National Security & Privacy Executive Roundtable, a user group dedicated to knowledge sharing among security professionals. He holds numerous certifications and sits on a variety of boards dedicated to the improvement of the practice of information security. Hansen serves as vice president to ILTA's Risk Management Peer Group.

Margaret C. Hepper
Senior Vice President, Aon Law Firm Solutions Group
As senior vice president of the Aon Law Firm Solutions group, Hepper is responsible for performing risk assessments for law firms nationwide, and for providing other risk management-related services to brokers, lawyers' malpractice insurance carriers and state bar associations. Hepper brings considerable risk management expertise to the Aon Law Firm Solutions team, having worked with law firms in this context since 1991. Prior to that, from 1987 - 1991, Hepper was a practicing attorney. She also serves as executive director of PilotLegis, a mid-size law firm risk purchasing group. In this capacity, Hepper manages the day-to-day activities of the membership, including coordinating and overseeing on-site risk reviews, member intake, and risk management programs.

Hepper is a graduate of Northwestern University and William Mitchell College of Law. Her career in the insurance industry began in 1992, and includes experience as an officer with Zurich. There she performed on-site due diligence of, and provided legal malpractice risk management services to, large and mid-sized law firms. Hepper is a former member of the American Bar Association's Standing Committee on Lawyers Professional Liability. During her tenure, she was chair of two Standing Committee National Conferences, and was active in the area of risk management education.

John Isaza, Esq.
Partner, Howett Isaza Law Group, LLP
Isaza is a California-based attorney and partner of Howett Isaza Law Group,LLP, an international records and information management (RIM) consulting practice and law firm. Isaza is widely recognized as one of the country's foremost experts on electronic discovery, the revised Federal Rules of Civil Procedure and other RIM issues. Isaza has conducted regulatory research and worked in developing records retention programs for some of the most highly regulated Fortune 100 companies. Prior to forming a RIM practice, Isaza served as in-house General Counsel to a publicly traded medical device manufacturer. Isaza also has over a decade of experience as a trial lawyer specializing in business, environmental contamination, products liability and construction defects. During that time he served as Arbitrator for the Los Angeles Superior Court System.

Isaza attended Boston College Law School, where he served as Editor of the International Law Review. At present, he is an active speaker in the ARMA, AIIM, ABA and IT compliance circuits. Isaza chaired the Chicago Program Committee for ARMA's 2005 international conference; he is a member of ARMA's Electronic Discovery Advisory Group; he is the immediate past president of the Greater Los Angeles ARMA Chapter; and, he is serving on the Board of Directors of ARMA International. At present, Isaza is the co-author of 7 Steps for Legal Holds of ESI & Other Documents, scheduled for release in 2009. Isaza is the 2008 recipient of ARMA's Britt Literary Award.

John J. Jablonski, Esq.

Jablonski is a partner of Goldberg Segalla, LLLP and concentrates his practice on commercial and business litigation, construction litigation, product liability litigation, and railroad litigation. Jablonski consults with clients and attorneys within the firm on electronic discovery issues and legal holds. He is currently the Chairman of USLAW NETWORK's Electronic Discovery Practice Group and Chairman of the NARTC's National E-Discovery Committee. He is a frequent presenter and author on electronic discovery, electronic evidence investigation and preservation, best practices for corporate legal hold guidelines, and implementation of legal holds.

Kenneth R. Landis
Loss Prevention Counsel, Attorneys' Liability Assurance Society, Inc.
Landis received his undergraduate degree with honors from the University of Pittsburgh in 1986. He graduated with honors in 1992 from the George Washington University Law School, where he served as a Student Articles Editor of the Law Journal. Landis spent the next 13 years as a commercial litigator with two major Chicago law firms. His experience included jury and non-jury trial and appellate work in state and federal courts in Illinois and elsewhere, as well as arbitration and mediation proceedings. In January 2005, he joined the Attorneys Liability Assurance Society, Inc. (ALAS), a Risk Retention Group, as loss prevention counsel. ALAS is a mutual insurance company providing professional liability insurance to lawyers for over 240 large law firms located throughout the United States. His duties include extensive writing and speaking on topics related to professional responsibility and lawyer liability.

Kon Leong
President & CEO, ZL Technologies, Inc.
Leong is co-founder and CEO of ZL Technologies, Inc. For 15 years, he has been immersed in cutting-edge storage and archiving technology, including co-founding GigaLabs, which produced ultra-high-speed storage networking switches. Earlier, he worked as first vice president of Mergers and Acquisitions at Deutsche Bank as well as at General Motors' Treasurer's Office in New York, managing GM's high tech portfolio and strategic ventures. He earned an MBA from Wharton with Distinction and an undergraduate degree from Concordia University (Loyola).

McAlvany is a Certified Records Manager and for the past 18 years has been a law firm records manager and held senior RIM positions for Fortune 500 corporations. She has been involved in providing records and information management support to PBMS customers for more than 12 years. John C. Montaña, Esq.

Montaña started his law practice and his records management career in 1993. At Information Requirements Clearinghouse, he supervised legal research for publications addressing commercial information management law, including regulatory compliance, litigation and discovery, and other related legal matters. He subsequently joined BrainCore where he was a consultant on legal issues associated with records and information management, including records retention schedules, emerging issues in content management and theIinternet, and the use of advanced storage media. While with BrainCore, Montaña also supervised legal research and development of content for a commercial database product containing information management laws and regulations. After leaving BrainCore in 1999, Montaña established Montaña & Associates (now, PelliGroup), a records management consultancy.

Jon A. Neiditz

Neiditz is a partner in Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough's Atlanta office and founder and co-leader of the firm's rapidly growing information management practice. Neiditz is known nationally as a trusted advisor on data management issues and for developing and implementing cost-effective information governance and management programs that effectively address the risks, costs, and opportunities associated with electronic information.

Ann Ostrander

Ostrander has 20 years of experience with law firms in many roles that include the management of records, conflicts, new business intake, docket compliance, local office administration, facilities management, and a seven year stint as a technology consultant focused on providing solutions to law firms in the loss preventions areas listed above. She has held several leadership roles with ARMA International and is also currently a member of ILTA's Records Management Steering Committee.

Thomas D. Paradise
General Counsel, Fox Rothschild LLP
As general counsel for the firm, Tom's responsibilities include development and implementation of risk management programs and policies; management of professional liability and insurance issues; performance of ombudsman duties on behalf of the firm; presentation of seminars to the attorneys and staff throughout the year on ethics-related topics and best practice concepts; counseling to the Executive Committee on policies and procedures; and providing risk management assistance to the firm's 14 offices. Prior to his appointment as general counsel, he served as chair of the Professional Liability Defense Group. His practice involved a broad range of litigation matters, including: legal malpractice defense, personal injury, medical malpractice, and commercial litigation.

Richard Patterson

Patterson is the director of security for Sidley Austin LLP. He oversees the IT security, physical security, and business continuity and disaster recovery programs. Patterson has a Master's of Science from DePaul University in Computer, Network, and Information Security. Patterson spent 13 years as a Special Agent with the federal government; the last seven years were spent in Chicago working for the U.S. Secret Service specializing in electronic crime, identity theft, and computer forensics investigations. Prior to the Secret Service, Patterson spent five years with the U.S. Army Criminal Investigative Division managing their Financial Crimes Program for the Fort Lee Resident Agency, Richmond, VA.

Mary Pat Poteet
Litigation Support Director, DLA Piper
Poteet oversees the administrative and technical support for the litigation group and provides in-house consultation on various litigation support issues, including discovery data management, electronic evidence processing and courtroom presentation. She has been very successful in implementing cost-effective solutions for several of the company's clients. Poteet is a founding member of the Electronic Discovery Reference Model Project, a frequent speaker at industry conferences and seminars, and a published author of various articles as well as a chapter on "Electronic Discovery" for the Fourth Edition of the California Civil Discovery Practice.

Dave Rigali

Rigali has over 15 years of experience managing law firm technology. An enthusiastic member of ILTA for most of his career, Rigali has presented at several ILTA conference sessions and webinars on topics ranging from project management to mentoring and why everyone should own a BlackBerry. Rigali currently sits on ILTA's Board of Directors as conference liaison.

Jason Robman

Jason Robman is director of Legal Solutions and Corporate Counsel at Recommind Inc., an enterprise search, e-discovery, and e-mail management software company headquartered in San Francisco, CA. He provides market strategy and positioning; messaging; lead generation; channel development and marketing; pricing; strategic alliances; international and domestic distribution; contract drafting; review and negotiation; international law; and corporate law. Jennifer L. Schwendemann

Schwendemann's risk management responsibilities include researching and counseling on ethical and professional responsibility matters, supervising and providing training on conflicts clearing functions, drafting conflicts waiver letters, conducting risk management training and continuing legal education sessions, and reviewing the firm's website and promotional materials for compliance with ethical requirements. Schwendemann also promotes the firm's pro bono efforts by coordinating new pro bono opportunities with several nonprofit organizations and recruiting the firm's attorneys to handle these legal matters. Schwendemann provides in-house training on various issues, such as housing and family law matters, to ensure the firm's attorneys are qualified to handle the pro bono matters they are assigned. Charlene Wacenske

Wacenske has been with Morrison & Foerster LLP since 2000. She is currently the firm-wide records manager and the IT senior administrative systems manager. Working closely with IT, the records department rolled out a firm wide e-mail filing solution, which has resulted in over 15 million messages electronically filed in the firm's records management system. Wacenske is past president of the Golden Gate Chapter of ARMA and is currently the VP for ILTA's Records Peer Group.
