ARMA International's 2011 Cobalt Award Goes To:
Cisco Systems!
The winner of the ARMA International Cobalt Award was announced during ARMA International’s 56th Annual Conference and Expo in Washington, D.C.. ARMA International is proud to announce that Cisco Systems, Global Tax & Customs, Enterprise Records & Information Management takes this year's award, created to recognize the shift – and its resulting advantages – when an organization becomes focused on proper records and information management at a foundational, organizational level.
The judges were compelled by Cisco's comprehensive program related to electronic records - as well as by answers critical follow-up questions posed by the judges to upper management at the organization. Cisco certainly understands the rapid growth of information within an enterprise - and they seem to be managing it well.
For each of the last four years, our award applicants have had higher overall scores than the previous year, giving these judges a difficult decision! The judging panel looked for clear indicators of top management support, organization-wide collaboration, solid records management practices, integrated and effective technology use, well-defined training programs for all staff, and appropriate risk management and compliance measures. Again this year, the bar is set one notch higher.
