Closing Keynote:
Your Ethical Contribution

John Montaña, J.D.
The author of ARMA International’s bestselling book, How to Develop a Retention Schedule, shares his wisdom, insights, and hope for the future of information management in this closing session.

Montaña will discuss why your dedication to compliance and your personal ethics could prevent the next information-based scandal – and how efforts like the Generally Accepted Recordkeeping Principles® (GARP®) can help light your way along the path. He’ll also detail how you, as an ARMA International member, are making a valuable contribution to your organization and to the world at large when you do your job well and ethically.

Montaña has served ARMA International on several key task forces, including the initial group responsible for developing the GARP® principles. He is vice president and general counsel for PelliGroup, Inc., where his experience in legal aspects of records management and retention fuel his national speaking engagements on compliance, electronic records, discovery, and other records management topics.
