Housing
Q. What hotels have been reserved? What are the rates? Which one is the headquarters hotel?
A. The headquarters hotel is the San Francisco Marriott Marquis. The ARMA International group rate is $229 per night plus 14.2% tax for single or $249 per night plus 14.2% tax for double occupancy. ARMA International also has a block of rooms at the Parc 55 Wyndham Hotel at a rate of $199 single or double per night plus 14.2% tax.
Q. Can I make my hotel reservations now?
A. Yes. To get the special ARMA International rate, all reservations will be made through the San Francisco Marriott Marquis or the Parc 55 Wyndham Hotel beginning June 1, 2010. Check the housing and travel page for more information.
Q. Do I have to use the housing link provided on the conference site to make my hotel reservations?
A. Yes, if you wish to make your reservation online, or you may call the hotel directly using the number provided on the conference site. All registrations should be made through the online links or phone numbers to ensure you receive the discount rate. Please be aware that ARMA International has not contracted with Convention Housing or any other third-party housing vendor and does not endorse, support, or guarantee their services.
Q. Will I receive a confirmation of my housing reservation?
A. Yes, you will receive an e-mail confirmation from the hotel.
Q. Will I be refunded if I have to cancel my room reservation?
A. Advance individual deposits are fully refundable if cancelled more than 72 hours prior to arrival.

Q. Who can attend the Annual Conference & Expo?
A. Anyone who is interested in appropriately managing records and information. To attend the Expo you must be 18 years of age.
Q. Will all conference programming be held at the Moscone West Convention Center?
A. Yes, the education sessions and Expo will be held at the Moscone West Convention Center. Some networking and social events will be at the Marriott Marquis, as indicated on the schedule.
Q. What is the dress code?
A. Business casual. Remember to wear comfortable shoes and bring a light jacket or sweater for fluctuating room temperatures.
Q. Will transportation be provided during the conference?
A. There will be a shuttle from the Parc 55 Wyndham Hotel to Moscone West Convention Center during the conference and expo hours.
Q. Will handouts be provided during the conference?
A. Handouts and presentations will be on a free CD-ROM located in your conference bag and online. Be sure to check your attendee e-mail alerts to learn when handouts will be available online.
Q. How can I become a speaker at a future ARMA International annual conference?
A. ARMA International publishes Calls for Proposals for all the education events. The conference Call for Proposals begins about 15 months prior to the event. Visit www.arma.org/learningcenter/proposals/ for more details.
Registration
Q. Do I have to pre-register to attend the Expo only?
A. You are encouraged to pre-register for the Expo, but you may register at the event. You can register online here.
Q. I am a member of the press. Do you have press registration?
A. Yes, contact ARMA International's marketing representative for details.
Q. I am not a member of ARMA International, but my co-worker is and will not attend. Can I use their membership to register at the member rate?
A. No, you would need to register at the non-member rate, which includes a one-year membership in ARMA International.
Q. May I transfer my registration if I am not able to attend as planned?
A. Yes, you may name a substitute by contacting ARMA International at +1 913.341.3808 or +1 800.422.2762 (U.S. and Canada) or send an e-mail to conference.
Q. Will I be refunded if I have to cancel my registration?
A. Depending on when your written cancellation is sent, you will receive a partial refund. See details on the registration page.
Q. Will I receive a confirmation of my registration?
A. Yes, an e-mail confirmation will be sent. You can also check your registration on your “MyARMA” transactions page at www.arma.org.
Q. Can I buy additional individual Awards Luncheon tickets?
A. Yes, you can purchase them at registration online or onsite until November 5.
Q. Can I volunteer to get a complimentary registration?
A. We have a program for education monitors who receive a complimentary registration in return for monitoring sessions for two days. Please contact your local Chapter President about this program. The deadline is April 30.
