The assessment is not a test, but a self-evaluation tool. It’s based on ARMA International’s Records and Information Management (RIM) Core Competencies, which are designed to give individuals and organizations insight into the skills needed to successfully manage records and information. The assessment covers six domains: business functions, RIM practices, risk management, communications and marketing, information technology, and leadership.
You can use the RIM Self-Assessment results to:
Document your strengths to management when discussing your performance, career goals, and development needs
Improve your skills and increase your market value
Create a professional development plan to guide your career
The tool is easy and it’s free to members of ARMA International. There is no vendor sponsorship to the RIM Self-Assessment, so your results will remain confidential.
