1.   The task force consists of a Leader and five other members chosen by the President-Elect in consultation with the Director of Government Relations and the parent Committee.  Members are selected based on their expertise and willingness to contribute and participate when called upon.  Depending on the issue at hand, additional ad hoc members with specific expertise in legislative issues regarding a subject area may be added or removed from the group.

2.   The task force will provide content, guidance, and recommendations to the parent committee and to the Board of Directors regarding Board communication on issues, messages, and strategic thinking on major public policy topics in records and information management.

3.   The task force will assist with the development of public position statements on behalf of the Association.

4.  For issues that arise outside of the United States, Canada, and the Europe , the Director of Government Relations will review the resources required to address the issues and will recommend to the Leader of the task force whether the Association has the resources to respond.

5.  The task force will meet in person at least once per year, and will participate in monthly conference calls as needed.

6.  The task force will submit quarterly reports to the parent Committee, as well as updates on conference calls as needed.
